2014 make it better

The year is new and I need to fish.

The boat did not go anywhere last year. This year I hope to rebuild the motor

The vow to fish more!

Last year I only fished a hand full of times.There was no ice for ice fishing.I only made it to the Nashua river twice

The big boat needed hull work because of age.

The hull got new fiberglass on the keel.The fiberglass needs to be protected so I painted the bottom of the boat.I used a two part marine epoxy paint that was roller-ed on.On the hull above the water line I used a single part urethane paint.The graphics were done with a single stage red for one stripe and black tinted red for the other stripe.

The season is ending, This year the boat was outstanding.The outdrive that I bought for $300.00 came in handy as the original shit the bed. I bought seal for the upper case and tore the outdrive apart.Many trips down the merrimack from haverhill to newburyport( 30 miles) and back tested the repairs that I had done.

I bought a outdrive to repair

I bought a new outdrive to repair ,and thank god that I did because the original drive
has gear issues. When I opened the original drive the gears were broken.

owning a boat is work

The boat is now back from the brothers house. After sitting for 7 mounths the outdrive tilt pump does not work. this will have to be taken care of before the boat can go anywhere

stripers and shad

The stripers will be here some time within the next couple weeks.If the weather remains this warm and stable the stripers will run in the merrimack. Shad fishing is happening now,maybe I will be able to catch one.

spring is getting away

The season has been very warm the concord river is providing fast action. I missed 5 pike last sunday ,but managed to at least catch a pickerel. The week before

I was at the nashua river shore fishing and caught

fish on a float and fly.
